Unlimited Potential

Today, in the face of unusual circumstance, I am reminded that The Almighty is truly unlimited in every possible way. The tax collector who became a disciple, Matthew, in chapter 4 of his biography of Jesus, tells of Jesus healing all kinds of sickness and disease, and healing all who were brought to him to be healed. Jesus, in perfect emulation of the spirit and nature of God Himself, healed all who were brought to Him to demonstrate a couple of things: that faith in God is the cure for all our human ills, not the cause of them, and that faith requires specific action--we must utilize available resources to get ourselves to where He is, and ask with humility, gratitude, and faith for Divine assistance, believing without a doubt that He indeed will bestow upon us the assistance we so desperately need.

So often we bring hope to the feet of Jesus mixed with doubt, fear, uncertainty, confused and frustrated and attempting to ask for His assistance with no recognition that we are standing in the one place in the universe where all fear and uncertainty must give way, and that is in the Supreme presence of God Almighty Himself, the substance of Whom is able to displace all doubt, all fear, and all confusion. The requirement is that we each must recognize--with grateful thanksgiving--that we are indeed in the presence of the Divine, where frustration and confusion are inherently displaced when we realize He created each of us in His image, in His likeness, with His very breath lovingly breathed into the carefully handcrafted each of us.

Easy it is to believe that emptiness must removed before Divine Inspiration can be received. Yet in the attempt to remove emptiness, a vacuum is created, in which the human spirit does not long survive. Emptiness is resolved by adding substance. The empty glass is filled by turning on the faucet, and I have yet to attempt to remove air from a glass before adding water.

As darkness is the absence of light, as cold is the absence of heat, so the empty soul, void of inspiration and empowerment, is lacking awareness of and alignment with the Divine nature of God that is put within each of us at the time of our creation. When active gratitude is consistently engaged, that alignment is enabled, and with that alignment comes a realization of the truly unlimited nature of our Magnificent Creator.

Alignment with the mind and heart of The Divine is best and most efficiently achieved through the engagement of an active gratitude--The Grateful Pa
